Before we can design your website, we need to discover what you like, what you don't like, and what your marketing objectives are. We will set-up a face-to-face meeting (within a 20-mile radius of Woodbridge, NJ), or if you prefer, a phone meeting to discuss your website needs. After the meeting, we will get to work on page and layout ideas, a potential site map, a description of each page and possibly incorporate any color or image ideas previously discussed. We will also include ideas for Search Engine Optimization (SEO) marketing to improve your site's rankings on Google and other search engines after it is finished and fully-functional.

PLANNING YOUR WEBSITE
When you approach us to build your site and you've got all your ducks in a row, you are most assuredly going to enjoy a smooth ride down the road of your Web Design Process. Whether you approach your web site development from a standpoint of giving us creative license or you know exactly what you want, here are a few questions you might want to ask yourself before we meet for the consultation:

Do I have the the text content for each page?
How do I want to label my page navigation?
Do I have photos and graphics for the website?
What colors are envisioned for the website?
Do I need any special features such as a feedback form or pop-up windows?

Those factors are just a few of the items that are included in any web site development. Some of the things you will consider are based on your personal opinion and the vision you have for your site. The technical aspects, such as content development, navigational architecture (site labels and structure) etc., are all services offered by Alissa Rothstein Design Studio. But knowing ahead of time what you can do to prepare, what you have time to do and what services you are willing to pay for will enable you to realistically approach your site development with your needs clearly defined.

PROPOSAL/QUOTE
Based on the specifics you'll provide to us during our consultation meeting, we will develop a site structure and calculate an estimated quote. We approach the proposal process by assessing your customized design metaphor or theme and your desired site structure combined with additional services you may require and the goal of your site. Based on the information you provide us, a flowchart will be created that shows you how all your pages are connected within your site. You will see the navigation labeled (the actual buttons) that link to pages within your site. You will also receive a timeline that coordinates the milestones of your web site development.

SIGNING A CONTRACT
Upon approval of the proposal, the contract will be signed stating that you are retaining Alissa Rothstein Design Studio for your web site design and development and any other services you have requested. If you determine that major revisions are necessary after the initial contract signing, Alissa Rothstein design Studio will be happy to make those changes, but additional fees will be charged.

WEBSITE PRODUCTION
You will need to supply us with the text content, graphics and photos that you wish to be included on the site. All submitted materials should be sent via email attachment except for photos that may need to be scanned.

Work begins on the theme that you have determined or one is used that ARDS may have proposed. The navigation will also have been determined and the navigational labels applied to the buttons. You will receive a design comp to proof the layout of your site. You may choose to edit the design once, whether it is the colors or a different button look, etc.

After approval, your content and graphics are placed, and then the pages are structured to contain your message as cohesively and artistically as possible. ARDS will communicate effectively with you during production keeping you posted with progress reports. You are welcome to view the work accomplished throughout the production process in your personal client folder loaded on our server.

TESTING AND FINAL APPROVAL
Test, test and then test some more. This is done to ensure your site will be seen as it was designed to be seen on the most popular browsers the internet population is using. Rushing this process is a huge mistake for anyone who desires to have their site not fall apart on your neighbor's browser. You will then receive a final review of your site on my server, give your official approval and your site is then published to your host under your domain.

Search engine ranking and submission is a key factor in driving Internet traffic to your site. Search Engine placement services that promise submission to an unbelievable number of search engines are never used. We will work at combining key words, meta name tags, titles and your page content and then individually hand submitting your site to achieve top search engine ranking results.
