WHAT DO YOUR PATIENTS BELIEVE?

A recent survey by the Physicians Coalition for Injectable Safety and consumer blog site RealSelf.com suggests that consumers are naïve to the risk of Botox parties and the importance of FDA approval for cosmetic injectables.

Highlights of the survey:
• 40% of consumers are unsure about the safety of Botox Parties

• 58% of consumers feel FDA approval of an injectable is important to safety

• Consumers are as much as four times more likely to trust a board-certified plastic surgeon, facial plastic surgeon, dermatologist or ocular plastic surgeon to administer cosmetic injectables, than “any” doctor, nurse, physician’s assistant or aesthetician

The survey results demonstrate the value of the Coalition’s “Doctor. Brand. Safety.” motto. To view the complete survey results: Physician's Coalition for Injectable Safety Summer 2007 Survey Physician Findings on Injection Practices, Informed Consent and Patient Complications
